There appears to be no personnel with Brooms and Receptacles any longer on our streets. The pavements around our village are dirty and I would like to know what is going to be done. An occasional lorry sweeping the Gutters is all that we ever see, what are we paying Council Taxes for ?

Pot Holes, 20th May

There are numerous pot holes extending from 24- 32 Knaves Hill and one outside 14. Holes are being poorly repaired and repairs are not lasting very long. This road forms part of a bus route and as such, gets a lot of heavy traffic. SO, IT MIGHT BE AN IDEA TO RESURFACE THE ROAD AND SAVE ALOT OF BOTHER IN THE FUTURE. AFTER ALL WHAT DO WE PAY OUR ROAD / COUNCIL TAX FOR. Stones from the holes are allover the road surface and get thrown up by cars, narrowly missing pedestirans on several ocations. AS I HAVE ASKED BEFORE, PLEASE GIVE THE ROAD A GOOD SWEEP. Thank you.

Road drain - Whipsnade Road, 17th May

The drain on Whipsnade Road is blocked with grit - in fact, over many years it has rarely not been so. The drain clearance team came to Royce close this last week, yet did not clear the drains outside the close on Whipsnade Road. The drain in question is just outside Royce Close, on the western side of Whipsnade Road between Royce Close and the junction with Pipers Croft.

Near A5 Junction, 3rd May

There have been marked up potholes on the road from Heath and Reach towards the A5 near to the roudabout for weeks-so much so that the markings on both sides of the road are fading away! Cars regularly move to the road centre to avoid them. Please get them fixed!

This crossroad is very busy with traffic in early morning and early evening. It is the 'ratrun' between the A1 and Potton/Gamlingay. There are no markings or almost deleted ones to advise drivers to slow down. From personal experience one has to be exceptionally cautious when approaching this crossing - cars do cross at excess speed.
