There is a pothole on the northbound side of Newport Road right next to the traffic island before the bus stop which is making it difficult to avoid especially when anyone is waiting to cross. You have to drive pretty close to the kerb to try and avoid it.

Hi parking at ty/sign risca ,since the council put the price of the garages up we have a lot more cars parking on the roads at ty/sign ,with a lot of garages left unused if the council put the price down the garage take up would go up .Have a look at the garage areas the ones just of thistle way have weeds ,trees growing out side, some garages have weeds growing on the roofs it looks very bad for Caerphilly Council.

Persistent flooding of carriageway, 3rd January

In heavy rainfall this area of road is regularly inundated with surface water due to excessive run-off from the eastern side of the dual-carriageway which can catch out the unwary motorist. On 3/1/12 this resulted in pooling on lane 1 the northbound carriageway, causing one unfortunate motorist's car to aquaplane into the nearside trees. The surface water drainage of this stretch of road needs urgent examination.

Reg NXI 7117 Nissan grey. At northern end of Railway Tce Hollybush Blackwood, just beyond the row of houses. It has brambles growing across window screen. Reg plates both back & front fallen off. Front one lying on ground under car. It can even be viewed on Google Street!

Even after light rain the corner grid to the rear of Newport Rd corner house, in front of 1 Pond Row blocks up. Even when not raining, water level is regularly above the grid. This seems to coincide with drainage from plumbing in Number 1 Pond Row (where I live). The toilet was backing up when flushed earlier this week.

Stream flowing across Path, 6th November, caerphilly

Footpath along Caerphilly Castle Dell below Caerdiff Rd and Castle... Over the past few months a small stream has emerged from the sloping are below the stone wall and now flows across this heavily walked fotpath. With WInter ahead with its freezing and icy conditions can you make a temporary fix to allow the water to flow under the path thereby preventing an icy surface from developing. It will also save on not having to make regular gritting journeys. Alternatively is there a major leak in the water main running along Cardiff Road that Welsh Water are not attending to?

Rough Surface on road, 6th November, caerphilly

Entire length of south side of Brynau Rd from Brookside Cres to North View Tce Caerphilly. With numerous streets within the Borough being resurfaced, I hope it is not too late to request for southern half of the above road also be resurfaced. It is an important cycle entry route for the Celtic Trail. In particular, it has had a utilities trench resurfaced which has deteriorated making it dangerous to cycle along. Cyclists can get a good speed along this road which slopes down towards Caerphilly town centre making it necessary to ride almost in the middle of the road to the annoyance of impatient car, van and Bus drivers who do not appreciate the dangers the rough surface poses to cyclists.

Hip height pillar to stop cars accessing footpath has been chipped away at right the way around the base, revealing steel cable. The pillar is leaning over. (This was last night: 17/10/11)
