The hedge on Longsight Road about 200m before the Total petrol station, was not cut properly last year and overhangs the footpath causing pedestrians to walk on the road with busy traffic. This footpath is used a lot.

Obstructed pathway, 1st June

I have recently found travelling on the pavement alongside the humpback bridge (that crosses the old rail line at Bradley Fold) a hazardous ordeal. It was necessary for me to cross the road TWICE at each side of the hump because greenery overhanging the pavement at each side made it unpassable. Having to cross at either side of a humpback bridge on a 40mph road is unnerving, particularly when on bikes with children as I was. Cutting back the greenery would greatly be appreciated.

Incomplete work to pavement, 29th March

Sir,
Several weeks ago new kerbs were installed on Walshaw Road. Contractors dumped bitumen on the pavements to replace that taken out during installation of the new kerbs. What is left looks life something out of the developing world. It is a public safety health hazard and only a matter of time until someone falls and claims from the Council for personal injury. I have pix to illustrate this. Please ask your contractors to come back and show some professionalism and repair this very shabby work.
Thank you.

Traffic calming needed., 26th March

Westleigh Drive is the main route in and out of the estate, and being a rather wide road, people drive down it at great speed. 2 Years ago my car that was parked outside my house was written off by someone reportedly doing about 60 down this road. There are lots of children and elderly around this area, and someone is going to be killed.

Repeated dog fouling, 14th March

Over the last week there has been 4 new piles of dog mess deposited right outside my path and garden. This is an ongoing problem and irresponsible dog owners let their animals off the lead on our quiet street. It took me an hour yesterday to clean it all up before I went to the hospital for my regular treatment. This i find unfair and not my responsibilty. It is putting my health at risk as well as others. There are signs on all lampost informing of prosecution for dog mess but this is failing. We have an idea of the culprit but catching them is another thing.

Road surface full of potholes, 5th March

A pothole was filled ina very shabby way and is already falling aprt and the hole is reforming. the debris is constantly being thrown at my car and is causing a significant amou nt of damage. can the road surface not be repaired properly instead of the amateurish hotchpotch that has been done so far

the footpath on either side of the avenue needs repairs as well with paving slabs loose and in a dangerous condition especially for the many elderly who live in the area
