Dumped Patio doors, 10th June

Two patio doors have been dumped at this location and the double-glazed sealed units have been smashed. The broken glass is very dangerous to the children who play in this area.

Shanklea school dangerous playground, 9th June

After building work to increase capacity. the playground at Shanklea school is currently too small for the pupils. The children are no longer able to play or run playing tuggy, First aid levels and accidents have increased. The school have been asked to undertake risk assessments but they say its inappropriate, the head teacher appears impotent. The area where the prefabs were is over grown and hazzardous. The Every Child Matters outcomes say children should be safe (not at shanklea from childhood accidents) enjoy and achieve (not at playtime)be healthy (no exercise )Obviously the school and LEA are not following governmemt guidance issued to safeguard and promote the welfare of children (sections 10, 11 of the Children Act 2004. Its a disgrace the LEA is selling the land from closing schools and pocketing the difference without supporting children or keeping them safe. There are many parents unhappy but scared to speak up and are unsure what to do as they have spoken to the head teacher and got no where.

Filth everywhere, 9th June

The mess from the Brockwell takeaways is now spread along the cycle path for about 400 yards this has been reported but the council that takes £1400 council tax every year. however the council refuses to clear up the mess as it is not on the pavement, and is not there resposibility. Obviously it has blow off the smooth pavements into the hedgerows, rats infest the hedgerows and are seen in large numbers. The council in not attemting to undertake any work in this are not fulfilling their responsibilies and I would be surprised if they tidied up.

Dumped conifers, 6th June

The person who lives in the house with the flag on it has dumped a very large quantity of conifers in a pleasant grove of trees50 yards west of his home

Rubbish dumped in bushes, 30th April

After a year and a number of phone calls( strangely not all of them logged by council, I have been told) the rubbish and trees have been removed. Two days before local elections.

Branches of a large shrub/bush, 22nd April

The owners of a house on Underwood Grove have cut the branches from a large shrub or bush growing in their garden and dumped the resultant waste onto the field behind their garden.

Garden refuse/conifer branches, 22nd April

One of the residents of Porlock Court has trimmed large branches from a conifer in his or her back garden and dumped them next to the path by the school. It is obvious where the branches have been cut from.

Rear of tandoori takeaway Union Street, 31st March

Builders rubble and trade refuse dumped in back lane at rear of takeaway adjacent with Union Street; rubbish is blowing around and becoming unsightly.

Persistant dog mess, 30th March

Careless dog owner not cleaning up after they dog on area around royal mail bag box and also next to flats on dewley 25-35 please could you look into this as the problem is not nice or plesant

Litter problems, 30th March

The hedgerows at the North of the playing fields running East for 300 metres from the spot indicated to are full of discarded beer cans,and other assorted discarded rubbish and needs clearing up

Drunkeness, 1st March

How do we sort out a re-occuring problems of drunken teenagers? It's happened before but last night I watched 4 lads damaging a nieghbours wooden fence, dropping beer cans, shouting and swearing. They congregate by "the cut" so they increase their options for not getting caught. My car has been damaged too numerously to site which was why I was keeping an eye on them. Do I go out and persuade them to leave: in my experience persuasion of drunks especially teenagers leads to violence. Do I call the Police who, on a Friday night, will be busy with drunks elsewhere? I'm certain my video camera will have recorded them but the last time something of this sort happened the Police said the quality was too poor to positively identify them. Were I to go to the council they'd likely fob me off with excuses for not being able to do anything about it as has happened before. Advice would be nice - if anyone reading this has any.

Bathroom & construction waste, 23rd October

A large proportion of the football field is now covered with flytipped garden waste but this has now been added to with bathroom waste and construction waste

Burnt motor scooter, 29th August

There is a burnt out scooter, which I assume was stolen recently, resting on the edge of the path between the footbridge over the railway line and Beacon Lane.

Over hanging trees, 17th August

The trees in tenth aveune are in desperate need of trimming, there well over into my front garden .I had a new block driveway laid last year and the sap thats coming off the trees is ruing my drive aswell as my car [edited for privacy - details sent to council] want somthing done .

Gypsy encampment, 7th August

travellers keep returning after being moved on, surely you can issue a notice so they cannot return to this area.The mess that is left every time is a health hazard amongst all the other problems

Local youths causing damage and leaving can of lager and bottles of lambrini/cider, 3rd July

After a local prescence of community offices and the Blyth anti social behaviour team this problem of local youth drinking died down but as the prescence of the community officers has gone these youths have resurfaced over the last couple of weeks. Bottles smashed in the road, loud boistrous behaviour with numerous profanities and now the breaking of trees in the area.Calls to 101 have been made but no more community officers have been in the area. Blyth valley council dont seem to be doing a lot at the moment as they seem quite happy to let the minority spoil everything and as this has been a problem in the past a greater priority should now be given.

Black bin bag of rubbish, 24th June

A large black bin bag of rubbish has been dumped at the site marked.

Garden waste, 16th June

garden waste and plastic bags have been dumped. The smell is horrible and I am concerned that the refuse will be attracting vermin

Household rubbish tipped, 16th June

A black bin bag of household rubbish and a small tree wrapped in a red plastic bag have been tipped at the top of the small embankment
