Missing gate, 4th July

There is an entrance/footpath to the rear of properties on war lane owned (but not maintained) by the council. There are other similar footpaths on war lane and hartledon road with security gates BUT not here. this is not secure and twice in the past 2 weeks the police have been called to investigate non-residents trying to gain access to properties.

Sherifoot Lane Nameplates, 20th June

The nameplate has been damaged by someone wrenching it out of the ground using a "To Let" sign which had been bound to it. In my opinion the sign needs replacing rather than just replanting as it has been bent across the main face. It has been in this condition for at least 2 months.

Garden soil waste left on footpath, 18th June

This soil has been on the footpath for 6 weeks. Although some has been taken away by rain, there is still enough to provide sustance for weeds, that are now growing through it. I reported it about one month ago to the local Maypole office after watching council workers ignore the problem as they worked up and down the street all day. The gentleman I spoke to told me, with such a weary voice, that he would see to it. However,we have seen no action to date. This part of the estate has always been very tidy, it is a shame that one family is being allowed to spoil it. The house occupants also park a long-wheel base right up onto the pavement and some days this blocks the problem, but not every day. The vehicle reg no is V270 GBH. Last year, the parking of a mere car on the pavement near us caused a drain to collapse - the LWB, a much heavier vehicle, is parked on a pavement that covers not only drainage pipes but also TV cables. I trust the problem will be sorted soon. Yours sincerely,

Pothole repair, 30th May

Since services were laid to new apartments built opposite our house last year, the road 'infill' has sunk. Now, when lorries drive over the pothole, the furniture in our back bedroom vibrates. Please can you arrange for the pothole / channel to be filled in a more stable manner? (It is opposite the entrance to Wake Green Gas Governor station.)

Widening of Road, 23rd May

This road is very narrow. With the locality of Moor Hall School, there is always the issue of parents parking their cars one one side making it nearly impossible to get up and down the road during school starting and finishing times. Would it be possible to have either the road widened, or to have some sort of parking restrictions placed here so that residents can actually get up and down the road?

Thanks,

Speeding Cars, 23rd May

I live on Streather Road and have a problem with idiots speeding down the road. There are often parked cars parked half on and half off the pavement yet cars still speed down the road. The big issue is with the children playing outside, its only a matter of time before one of these kids is run over.

Lets prevent rather than cure?

Some help please, (speed bumps, traffic calming etc).

Thanks,

Simon
