<title>Damaged connecting door, 9th August</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/128281</link>
<description>I live in a block of flats next to Maidenbower Square behind the Chinese takeway and hairdressers. There used to be a door splitting the loading bay/parking area from the main shopping precint, but that has been damaged and now people use it as a cut through to Maidenbower Drive. The door has been vandalised for a few weeks now.
This is concerning since this area is dangerous with large lorries delivering to Co-Op, the fish and chip shop and chinese take away. Maidenbower Place is not pedestrianised and I think it is just before time that someone is hurt badly.
Also teenagers hanging around in the precint at night sometimes wander through and play football in the loading bay. This can disturb us because it activates the safety light in the Stanford Court car park and shine into our bedroom.

<title>Extreme litter broken fences, 17th July</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/125060</link>
<description>The entire area of Land occupied by Tescos is full of litter - this is especially true of the hedges and bushes surrounding the area around it's Borders with the school and the footpath between their petrol station and the Gatwick Stream footpath where no fences have been maintained for decades. Tescos really are not behaving as a good neighbour in this respect - one would have hoped that when the council sold our land to them they would have insisted that they keep their many acres in good condition. Interestingly rat poison is placed along some footpaths while half empty food litter is left to milder near by. All very unpleasant. Please put your hands in your pockets Tescos and stop this area going further downhill. At present you can detect a tesco shop from about a kilometre away by number of bags, food waste and trolleys in streams.
I have not sent this direct to Tescos as I believe their complaints by email system is broken and that this long standing issue needs to be publicly aired.

<title>Cars on grass verges for sale, 29th June</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/122005</link>
<description>Cars are regularly parked on the grass on the corner of St marys drive and Chaucer Road. A used car business seems to be starting as well as number of cars have for sale notices have been put on cars. The practise on destroying grass verges by parking on them seems is now spreading along St mary's drive towards Hazelwick School. In most other towns there are by-laws to stop this degradation of the neighbourhood - surely about time we followed suit to stop footpaths being obstructed by cars parked like this.

<title>Obstructing school traffic, 19th June</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/120354</link>
<description>Resurfacing and new yellow lines have recently been installed with much improvement but a small portion of the road has been left unmarked with single yellow lines making it possible to park approximately 6 cars on the one side of the road. This still causes chaos for vehicles coming in and out at the start and finish of school and creates a potential danger of children running out into the middle of the road from between parked cars.
The main parking culprits appear to be council workers from the nearby nursery. They have an arrangement to park in the social club car park nextdoor during the day but this would involve a longer walk of about 30 metres!
The congestion and accident potential is a serious problem that can be solved by the addition of a further 25 metres of single yellow line.
