<title>Blood on the Pavement, 23rd August</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/130180</link>
<description>On Sunday 22nd August there was excessive blood on the pavement from Lloyds Bank to above the Coop. I returned later a few hours later and no attempt had been made by anyone to clean this up. Although I appreciate that this was a Sunday, I do feel that the amount of blood on the pavement warranted someone from the Council to clean the pavement, even if it meant using an external company.

<title>Road Surface, 11th August</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/128557</link>
<description>The road surface at the bottom of Chapelry Garth was dressed with new chippings and tar a coiple of years ago. This surface is not suitable where vehicles turn, particularly in hot weather. Much of the tar is now showing and constantly gets onto shoes if walked on. This then gets on house floors and carpets. Can tar and chippings be replaced with a surface less prone to melting please ?

<title>Glencoe Villas, 28th June</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/121956</link>
<description>I have previously written to you in relation to the footpaths being dealt with leading from Glencoe Villas up towards Salted Roundabout. The footpath ine question is non-existent due to overgrown hedges and non maintenance by the Council. Cars trying to get out of Glencoe Villas have no view trying to approach the road, cyclists cannot be seen until we are way across the pavement and then entering into the cycle area. This is an accident area waiting to happen. Who do i contact when this has happened?
This is my second request for these works to take place. Can this please be forwarded on to the appropriate Works Department in order to get something done. Can i also report cars being parked outside the Dance School near BP Sports Club. This is also happening on a regular basis, thus people walking with children in prams have to walk on the road itself.

<title>Resurfacing, 16th May</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/112802</link>
<description>Footpaths in general heading towards the roundabout at Saltend need repairing, tarmac breaking away and fragmites growing through. Public having to walk on the cycle path as the hedge also needs cutting back, no footpath visible in places. Also roundabout at the Kingstown Hotel needs a road sweeper on the roundabout itself. Large pieces of gravel and stones have been building up there, this would need seeing to before the weather gets better to avoid motorbikers coming off their bikes and causing a near miss with vehicles.

<title>Town Nameplate, 5th December</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/82517</link>
<description>Awaiting action by East Riding Council on new Town Sign to be placed near to the Kingstown Hotel, possibly adjacent or on the South Preston sign, this would say “Leading to the Historic Town of Hedon”.

Why? Because I have been asked on a few occasions by people in cars near to the Co-op supermarket on Hull Road the B1362, just where Hedon is; they said they were confused by the South Preston sign, and I also know of some contractors who went down the bypass and came into Hedon via Thorn road.

Hedon’s Town Clerk says that I have received the backing of Hedon Town Council but we still await any information or contact from Mr. Mike Peeke who is the Highways Officer for the East Riding.
From Jim on The Hedon Blog.

<title>Parking on grass verges, 15th October</title>
<link>http://www.fixmystreet.com/report/76954</link>
<description>Transit vans and other vehicles parking constantly on grass verges. this is illegal and costs the taxpayer to be put right (driving on a footpath is illegal - you must drive the vehicle onto the verge therefore breaking the law) the houses have garages and drives. maybe they should be 'encouraged' to use them. no access is possible at night if say a fire engine needed to pass through due to these vehicles. Particular offenders are electicians and plumbers. One has even dug up the verge to install iron grids to park on.......
