The route of the largely off-road Downslink path diverts onto the road at Christ's Hospital School. All that is required to remedy this is for the footpath which runs from Station Road and on under the railway to be upgraded to a permissive bridleway. This would avoid a dangerous section of road, unsuitable for inexperienced cyclists past Weston's Farm. West of the railway the old disussed railway line runs across land owned by WSCC. So what is the problem?

Pavements are 2 inches deep in ice. V dangerous, grit bins have still not been provided despite this being 3rd winter with snow. Elderly /disabled/parents needs to get out to shop etc. Grit bins will help as part of the big society neighbourhoods could spread onto walkways.

Cars illegally parked, 6th February, RH11 8RP

Ever since Crawley Station has introduced paid parking, the side streets at the Ifield railway station have become inundated with illegal parking. The roads on the Gossops Green side have become a nightmare for the residents living in this area, in so much that we have noticed vehicles parker well outside of the 3 metres of a street corner. This continuously hinders any drive trying to turn into The Croft be it left or right. In addition Craighans is so jam packed with vehicles it becomes almost impossible for anyone to drive their vehicles down Craighans to enter The Croft or Hillmead.

Missing Traffic Lights, 5th February, pease pottage

After any sustantial rain, or as snow thaws, the junction of Gladstone Road and Hurst Road floods. This is hazardous to all road users and very inconvenient for pedestrians who are forced to cross Hurst Rd near the juncton of Glastone Rd, and the entrance to Pavilions in the Park/Royal Mail dept

Water coming out of manhole cover, 5th February, RH12 2ER

This is a solid topped manhole cover not a drain hole with a grate. After rain, or today as the snow thaws, foul smelling water comes out from under this manhole cover and runs NW down Hurst Road past my house. Very unpleasant. It has been reported before but if action was taken it hasn't worked.

Right turning vehicles, 3rd February, RH12 2ER

Vehicles emergoing from the Beefeater/Station Hotel car park are ignoring the painted road markings and turing right into Hurst Road. Several have been observed driving through red lights on the corssing nearby. Problem has got much worse since the station refurbishment commenced. The road markings need to be repainted. A right turn only sign needs to be erected on Hurst Road opposite the exit. The 'nose' of pavement on the exit needs to be remodelled to preclude right turns. Anothe rproblem with this exit, early mornings two or three times a week, delivery vehicles obstruct Hurst Road whilst REVERSING into this exit as they cannot make the turn from Nightingale Road.

Repaired pothole needs repair, 31st January, rh10

At entrance to Lighthouse Systems. The previous incarnation of this pothole a month or so ago destroyed my tyre - blew out same day on A23 at speed. Bodged repair washed out. Fix it properly this time please.

Rubbish and tree branches, 16th January, RH10 3TX

There is a large amount of rubbish and new cut tree branch blocking the pavement on the path that leads out for Mannings close to the Balcombe road. This is a well travelled path and school children use it every day twice a day. The cut tree branches are head height with school children and could catch unsuspecting people in the face.
