New problems within Kent's boundary on FixMyStreet

Litter bins, 3rd September

The litter bins outside the shops in Northwood Drive require emptying daily. This is on the school run and has 4 shops selling food so that the bins are full to overflowing almost daily. The rubbish blows over a wide area and encourages vermin like foxes.

Bollards missing/damaged, 3rd September

Bollard on one of the traffic islands has been removed. Also, on the opposite island, the reflective panels on the wooden bollard has been removed.

Overgrown Tree Causing House Damage, 2nd September

The tree on the grass verge just outside 41 Headcorn Drive Canterbury needs pruning quite drastically. I have had problems with roots growing into my drains and I'm concerned that structural damage to the foundations of my bungalow may be sustained.

Roads signs and bridges covered in graffiti, 1st September

Hi, I drove down the A2 yesterday and was appalled by the amount of graffiti covering bridges, parapets and road signs. The problem appears to be worse on the A2 in between the 2 junctions for the A250. It gives such a bad impression to visitors to the area so hopefully, you can arrange for it to be cleaned up soon. Potholes and road surface has been almost removed on the side of the roads and the center of the road has got a huge pothole in it... Please can u schedule this road as a priority....

First noticed on Tue, 31 Aug 2010. I see this as medium priority. The hedges along park lane need cutting back, both sides are getting really bad.

Hungarian registered Suzuki Swift reg. JXS704 blue with white stripes has been here for over 3 weeks now - has a flat front tyre.

This was observed near the river and if the buoys are not easily available it poses a risk to people near the waterside.

Poor reinstatment, 30th August

The gas board and water board have dug the road up in lots of places over the past few months, currently the water board is digging the road up there reinstatment workmanship is appauling, a visit from a streetworks inspector may be needed

Subsiding trench + pothole, 30th August

A gas board trench dug 2 years ago has started to sink and needs re filling with tarmac also the repair in reculver road about 25 meters away where a sinkhole apeared , and has been repaired last week this is also sinking again

Dumped fridge/ rubble thrown at trains, 30th August

A black fridge has been dumped and is obstructing the road , all the other rubbish that the council has failed to clear is ending up on the rail line. if you look over the rail bridge you will see large lumps of rubble on the track. I believe that the council has a duty of care to do something about this. It would help if you actually cleared up all the rubbish which is allways dumped in the road, then due to your 20 + days it takes for you to respond it then ends up being moved by some one to the verge or the mx track where you then use the excuse its not on our land. If a train is hit or de railed or the driver is killed its the council that will be at fault!!!!

Van parking causing obstruction, 30th August

There are constantly 2 or 3 vans parked along Homersham at the junction of Scott Avenue which make pulling out of Scott Ave very difficult. I have seen a few near misses & find it very difficult pulling out safely myself. These are often parked both sides of the junction so you cannot see either way without pulling out.

The road surface on Grange Lane is awful, it's enough to really mess up a car. Seeing as there is now a commercial property at the end of this road, it should be resurfaced?

Damaged verge & broken slabs, 30th August

The pavment & verge outside number 39 has become damaged due to vans being parked on them. A number of slabs are broken,little grass remains & both become water logged in bad weather. People also need to walk in the road to get past the parked van. More posts like the ones outside 37 would help, stopping further damage.

Illegally parked lorries, 29th August

Despite the new lorry rest area at J11 on the M20 at Hythe, there are always illegally parked lorries on just by the roundabout. The lorry drivers have wrecked the kerbs and often leave vehicles obstructing the approach to the roundabout, which endangers other drivers. If mere fines are not a deterrrent, can you not just physically block the whole area to keep the roads clear and safe? Thank you.
