Updates on Bench slats broken/missing

This is an ongoing issue all the way along the seafront. I have resisted reporting further benches in poor condition in fear of their removal, as above.

Reply from TDC on 9th Dec 2009 Regards the above all these seats were in a very poor condition so apart from the memorial seat which will be repaired, I instructed for the others to be removed. At present there are too many seats around the coast which require repairs for which there is not enough budget or man power to undertake. However we do have a long list of people who wish to site memorial seats and this area will be considered as a replacement for the seats that have been removed.

The council have since removed the four benches - I await a reply to an email that I sent them asking why they had done that, rather than repair them.
