Loose/very noisy manhole cover, 2nd June

A manhole cover in the road outside my property is loose and rattles and bangs every time a vehicle drives over it. This will need to be repaired as manhole covers in the highway belong to the Public Utility companies who have a duty to maintain and repair damaged and broken plant. The local authority will need to inform the Utility company of the defective cover.

Numerous potholes, 31st May

There is a cluster of potholes here, some quite large that are getting deeper by the day. Repairs seem to have been done a large number of times here, presumabley because this is the section of the close where vehicles turn around (and suffers more stress as a result).

Grass being ruined, 14th May

There is a resident of the birches in three bridges crawley, who constantly parks on the grass verge outside of her house when she could park in a space near her house. this is damaging the grass and causing dips/dents in the grass, so when it gets wet it gets worse and the grass can not grow back, this lady is constantly a problem and sometimes stops people using the pathway for public use.

Grass verges being damaged by cars, 14th May

There are a small contingent of people who consistently park on the grass verges at this location. There are now visible trails across the verge ruining there appearace. There was also an instances of the pavement being blocked for pedestrians

Drain cover, 13rd May

The drain cover is completely destroyed by cars driving away from doctors surgery on the path a partially sighted person or child might not see the trip hazard

Crude alteration of a sign, 12th May

This large pothole is just before a well know black spot - a very sharp left hand bend as one leaves Crawley forTurners hill. It has been ther some weeks

Grass close being destroyed!, 17th April

There is an increasingly common problem with local residents driving onto and through grass close in order that they can park outside their houses - particularly where parking in the close (off Mitchell's Road) is limited. The parking in the close is often oversubscribed since this is the first area out of the controlled parking zone where commuters will come and park all day for free. The close serves as a cut through from Gales Drive and is frequented by all, including the elderly and families with children. Concrete bollards, to prevent cars driving onto the grass close would prevent this and preserve the area for what it is intended for.

Dangerous surface, 21st April

The foot-path from CLIVE WAY to WORTH ROAD which is used by children and families attending the local schools is in a terrible condition, with uneven and broken paving slabs causing a serious trip hazard especially to young children and the elderly. This foot-path also floods whenever it rains.

Pot holes in New Street, 12th April

Small but deep pot hole in the middle of the entrance to New Street hard to avoid as it is right in the A pillar blind spot as you go around the corner and is like hitting a kerb it is so deep, also the state of New Street as a whole is terrible the road surface is dissappearing and the puddles that form in the road due to subsidence result in the front of houses being splashed by water every time a car goes by.

The whole car park has large potholes all over but the two that you cannot get around are outside the chip shop one is over 3ft long by 8"deep

There is a large pothole that is unavoidable in the road. The road is narrow and cars are parked on the right hand side.

There are several pot holes between the Black Swan pub in Pease Pottage and the Dragon pub in Colgate on both sides of the road. In some cases they are quite deep.

Litter and dog fouling, 16th March

I am a resident of Capsey road I walk my dog three times a day generally along the three ponds from my house to the end of Bewbush water gardens (if that is what you can call it) the litter is appalling there are at least three public bins that have not been emptied in months one adjacent to waterside close has had a bag of plastic bottles in it since December 2008. the ponds have an unbelievable amount of junk in them, cycles, shopping trolleys, scooters, hardcore plastic etc etc. the dog fouling is indeed not good i use the plentiful bins provided for which are incidentally kept very clean. i have also seen youths openly smoking drugs, riding unlicensed motorbikes and fishing where not allowed in the green areas the whole area where it is residential or close to residences looks like a complete tip it is unhygienic unsightly bad for the environment and expensive to clean up I’m totally fed up with this i pay well over a thousand pounds in council tax i have yet to see a clean up campaign, any of the local wardens in these areas (they go to the shops where there are already CCTV cameras) no local police officers, or PCSO officers. what is needed is some no tolerance policing of this give a few tickets out for this and is should get round and stop. It did in Reigate and Banstead where I am a police officer. I am more than happy to be contacted and take a council official around the area to show them what I am trying to point out.
