Potholes,mud,litter,dog dirt,overgrown, 23rd July

The road from Jubilee Bridge to Harris park is an eyesore and a disgrace to a gem town. Some areas are dangerous and the road is almost impossible after heavy rain.Tourists turn back when they see what they have to walk through and it is totally impossible in a wheelchair.
The sides of the road are overgrown and the bank under the bridge is gradually getting washed onto the road. Due to the land slippage the road is getting narrower between the bridge and Railway Terrace.

Blocked Gully, 22nd July

I believe that the roadside drainage gully is blocked at the above location.
Your good chap Ken has been to the above location, and says it requires the Gully Pump to come out to site to clear the drain.
With best wishes.

Double pothole on left hand side of narrow road, 19th July

There is a severe pair of potholes along the corney fell road that are dangerous. The road is only just wide enough for two vehicles meaning that vehicles often need to break sharply when they see the potholes coming

potholes are close together on the left hand side heading up the hill from duddon bridge

The council pothole reporting website is not working today

White Lines Require Repainting, 18th July

Residents have asked that the white lines at the marked location be replaced as a matter of some urgency.
Drivers not used to the area are now driving straight on into The Green instead of bearing left at this junction.

No Manhole Cover to drainage shaft, 18th July

While walking through the long grass I noticed that the cast iron manhole cover to the drainage system had been removed and not been replaced.
The cover is no longer there, and it is quite possible for someone to have a serious accident if the cover is not replaced. it is an accident waiting to happen.
The manhole is situated in the long grass and you will have to look carefully to find its location.

Condition, 6th July

Over the last two years much work has been done on Curzon street, as a result (Lower) Senhouse Street has become a parking area for heavy builders lorries and skips. As a result this road is now in a very poor condition and requires, in my opinion, resurfacing
Thank you.

Fillings gone, 21st June

Potholes on Oak road were 'filled' with incorrect procedure and materials a year or two ago. This spring the same rubbish procedure took place, and now they are back to empty holes. The original contractor needs to be reprimanded and made to redo the work for free, cutting back the surface and using proper layers of fill.

Pavement, 18th June

This is a public footpath which has been turned into a road to service factory units and a Bus Depot !
However there is no pavement so pedestrians have to dodge the ever increasing traffic. A dangerous situation.

Road surface, 17th June

The last part of this road close to the Scotland Rd was beautifully repaired recently, however the section before the repair is now worse than I have ever known it. You are shaken around in the car from side to side and the car's suspension is challenged for several minutes. Something must be done!

Satnav error, 10th June

Lots of traffic ignore sign in Millside indicating No Through Road and follow Satnav which says they can get via the Bridleway to Witherslack Hall and beyond. They can't! People just ignore the sign - could we have an additional sign in Millside in big letters! NO THROUGH ROAD

Road surface in Crossley Street, 26th April

I an not aware whether or not this road has been adopted by the council, but it is a total disgrace. If it is not adopted - why not? and if it is when will it be repaired as before long cars will be damaged using it and already when it rains it has such deep puddles that people cannot walk to the end of the road without getting very wet. Money has obviously been spent making areas of the village pleasant so shouldn't some be spent on the roads?

Speeding Motorists, 10th April

While one side of the village has speed humps, the village main street has no deterent against speeding motorists. There is now an increasing problem of motorists who appear to think they are above the law and treat the legal speed limit with contempt.
This is a residential street and I think the time has come for the council to take action before there is a serious accident. The police do mount radar checks on entry to the village, but I have yet to see any speed check being carried out concentrating on vehicles travelling along Main Street.

Ridiculous & masssive potholes, 12th March

Balmoral road, thornton road & springfield avenue, its pathetic the state of these roads, they are used frquently by a regular bus route, but no matter what vehicle you are driving in you can feel these potholes. We pay more than enough council tax surely to cover the repairs desparetly needed to resurface these roads. Also as a responsible dog owner more dog bins are needed there is a large green grass site half way between Greenlands Avenue where many people are now just letting their dogs fowl children also play in this area and so a dog bin should be provided here or at least near by.Thank you.
