New problems to City of York Council on FixMyStreet

Tree on Bull Lane at rear of properties 30/31/32 Milton Street, 15th June

I have contacted the council on several occasions regarding an overgrown tree to the rear of the properties 30 and 31 milton street. The tree is so large now it is growing right across the road (bull lane) and even overhangs right over into the gardens of the above mentioned properties. Having contacted a local tree surgery firm (Lewis Tree Surgeons)regarding my concerns, they also confirm the tree is in dire need of attention to cut back both the dead wood in the tree and the huge side canopy. There are several trees on Bull Lane, however this is the only one considerably overgrown. Having spoken to a Harvey at the council regarding this quite some time ago. I was assured the situation would be reviewed and dealt with and i would subsequently be contacted regarding the action to be taken. This has not happened. Regards

Dear York City Council Can you arrange for removal of Graffiti from The Leeman Road street sign and a cable box. These are both Located near the war memorial end

Leeman Road Underpass, 26th May

Dear York Council Can you or Network railway arrange for the removalk of a large amount of Graffitti from the underpass in Leeman Road. This is used by a large number of people

Graffiti on several garages, 14th April

There are several garages on Shaws Terrace which have been covered with graffiti. Some is over 12 months old but some is more recent. This is a blight on this area used by many as a cut-through.

Dog fouling - same place every day., 11th April

Some kind soul chooses to let their dog foul the pavement at the end of my street seemingly every day. I wish I was around to catch whoever does this, but I am always at work. It warrants somebody keeping an eye on it, because it is frankly disgusting.

S847 KVN White Transit Dumped, 19th March

There is a white transit dumped in Hardisty Cloisters, it has a flat back tyre and the words KAB on the side. This vehicle has not moved for over a month

... It's a 20/30 mph sign and someone has hit it.

"stonethwaite" roadsign, 11th March

The "Stonethwaite" roadsign located on Grassholme has been damaged by recent high winds and is about to fall off the lamppost on which it is secured. The sign is bent and damaged and will require replacing

Bad parking and big trucks using a cart track, 7th March

This road at Vicarage lane is taking very heavy traffic. Most of it driving on the verge and digging the tarmac up because the school teachers seem to be immune from illegal parking on a junction.

Bad parking, 7th February

Cars constantly blocking the road entry / exit. Illegal parking. causes congestion and danger for pedestrians. These cars block the view and force exiting traffic to the wrong side of the road where incoming traffic cannot see them until it is too late. Lots of near incidents occur incoming traffic nearly head on with out going traffic that it on the wrong side of the road . Forced there by bad and illegal parking. it is a danger and the people concern should be stopped from doing this.

Street lamp not working, 19th January

There is a streetlamp out in woodlea avenue, acomb york opposite 104 woodlea avenue.

Horrible problem, 11th January

There has been dog poo going from the flag on the map, all the way (both sides)down to almond grove. It is all over the footpath and I am having to walk my children to school on the road. My wife contacted the council and new earswick trust yesterday morning but nothing has happened apart from a few emails stating it's someone elses problem.

Dog Poo, 10th January

Someone who walks their dog(s) along this road frequently allows them to foul the pavement, countless times I have found deposits right outside our door. It is definately a small animal(s) and whoever walks them does so late at night or very early in the morning as I have never been able to catch them. It is driving me crazy that pet owners can be so irresponsible.Most of these house open straight into a living room so there is nowhere to remove boots and shoes and it is easy to tread dirt and faeces into the carpet/floor. On several occasions this has happened to us, I have a young baby who has just started to crawl and I feel like I can't let her have the freedom of our home because of what might be being brought in on visitor's shoes. I don't mind a bit of dirt and mud but i draw the line at her crawling through poo! I hope something can be done about this, I have even thought about setting up a webcam to catch the culprit. Abandoned Van, 27th December

White van reg. S695 DWT has been parked at entrance to street for 3/4 weeks, never moved - dustbin van cannot get into street and it is very difficut for residents cars to pass.

Graffiti at Queens Court, 4th November

Graffiti (black spray paint) tag appeared at some point this week. Unsightly and could encourage further graffiti. Please can you arrange for this to be removed ASAP. Note. There is also the same tag on the walls of the car entrance to the apartment blocks on the opposite side of Fetter Lane.

Flytipping and Chemical Waste, 20th October

Behind the Post Office there are some flats and behind those are the wheelie bins. The bin site is being used to dump waste that won't fit it wheelie bins. There are now some drums that say hazardous waste on them. These drums are coming from 1A Intake Avenue as they also have them stored in their garden (not very well covered by binbags) the drums contents are also flammable.

Sunken manhole cover, 9th September

Aluminium manhole cover run over by heavy vehicle now sunken and a hazard to pedestrians. Another hazard on White Rose pavement on right of Ash Tree Grove junction.

Blue M Reg Ford Fiesta, 22nd August

Vehicle being in parking place 2FH for a number of weeks, flat rear passenger side tyre, radio and parcel shelf speakers all missing. Assume abandoned after theft.
