New problems to Braintree District Council on FixMyStreet

Graffiti, 8th May

A considerable amount of graffiti has appeared on the western road out of Witham (the Lindfields end). It is on the road surface and traffic signs. Thanks.

Litter on the road from Braintree to Shalford.., 1st April

The amount of litter that is on the side of the road from Braintree up to the Recycling Centre at Shalford is terrible.. Can the Council clean it up..? After all that is what we pay so much Council Tax for isn't it..? It has been there for weeks... It really isn't good enough when we pay so much for so little service...

Graffiti & Vandalism, 9th March

Over the last few weeks Lochram Lane has fast become an area for Graffiti and drinking alcohol and vandalism. This graffiti is steadily making its way down Guithavon Rise where houses were Graffiti’d and more recently on property down Guithavon Valley. Please can the council clear this area, repair the damaged fencing and once again make Lochram Lane a nice walk into Witham.

Mindless idiots sprayed their names on this 100 year old wall next to the double garage. Any information you can provide to get this cleaned would be appreciated. Kindest regards

Poorly parked commerical van, 14th February

Large Council van is parked here overnight. Opposite a T-junction on a bend. It restricts the drivers view around the corner and forces you to drive on the wrong side of the road. An accident waiting to happen!

Daily incident, 13rd February

Since November 2007, there has been repeated dog fouling in East Street Coggeshall, particularly in the area noted. I have yet to see the offending animal in action, but believe it to be a medium size mutt belonging to a 'blond' 16-20 year old ,normally accompanied by a male of a similar age. The times seem to be between 15:30 to 17:00. The 'info' has been obtained in discussion with other residents and is based on sightings between times given.

Dog fouling, 13rd February

It is not just White horse avenue, the surrounding roads are all littered with dog poo. It is getting worse, fresh poo everyday that you have to dodge every time you go out. It must be happening early in the morning or late at night in the dark and the dog is moving at the time because there is always a trail of it.

Vehicle/No Tax/H&S Issue re Rubbish, 23rd November

Van left over the curtailage of public right of way to semi detached next door. Plastic bags of decayed matter, wood, sinks etc left on open back top.Other than blocking the right of way it is a Health & Safety issue. Tax run out July 07. Van Registration = EU51 SKX.

Height of hedge, 2nd November

Traffic lights on this corner did work well during the alterations to the Mill but I fear are wishful thinking. A simpler and more achievable improvement would be to reduce the height of the hedge along the South side of the lane to give motorists a view across the field. They could then choose to wait where it is easiest for oncoming traffic to pass. This hedge used to be kept in good order and at roughly the same height as the post and wire boundary fence; it is only in recent years that it has been let to run riot.

Speeding cars, 30th October

This road is used as a "rat-run" by cars travelling far too fast. Needs speed bumps and footpaths.

Bulford mill lane, 27th October

New estate has caused increase in traffic but decrease in maintance of road. pot holes over hanging trees verges overgrown etc.two years ago while road works temp traffic lights were installed permanent lights would create a safer usage of narrow road.

One way traffic system, 28th October

If a one way system was introduced from point on the Map to just past the mill with speed bumps, there would be space to construct a footpath along side the road. This would make it safer for both padestrians and motorists. Your sincerely Mr J A Moore

Flytipping & Severe Litter, 16th October

Household rubbish has been left at the marked area and severe general littering along the whole road. Particularly bad between the two rounderbouts. Its been getting progressively worse for the last three months.

Bulford Mill Lane, 30th August

This road is getting more and more dangerous!Overgrown bushes and major blind spots are going to cause big accidents, especially when people don't know the road and go speeding down there! Traffic lights should be made permanent down there. When these have been used in the past for roadworks it makes driving down there a lot saferm and quicker as it saves reversing about 10 times to let cars from the other direction get through!

Speeding, 22nd March

Holst Avenue is supposed to be a 20mph zone, however cars are often racing down here at well over 60 mph, one day someone will be injured or killed if nothing is done about it

Road not completed, 12th March

2 years after the Maltings housing development has been completed, Holst Avenue is still uncompleted, drains are blocked, and is causing damage to cars.
