Dangerous and obstructive parking opposite housing estate, 2nd July

I am a tenant at Davis Way, Sidcup. This is a new estate, which also houses the popular community centre. The only access to this is a turning off of Palm Avenue, which is where the problem lies.

Constantly, cars and vans park opposite the turning into the estate, which is in itself, dangerous. But to make matters worse, it is on a corner, and thus makes the turning into the estate a blind one.

The estate has traffic entering and exiting all day, and it is only a matter of time until an accident occurs. There is a popular playground, used by many local children and parents, also within the estate, which makes the issue an even more important one.

I have brought this up with one of the owners of the vans constantly parked there - a company called ACE VAN HIRE. The manager called me 'pig-headed' and told me 'it was not illegal' for his drivers to have vans, missing the point entirely.

Please please please do something about this, as it's very clear that there should be road markings opposite the turning, and because there isn't it runs the constant risk of causing an accident. As it's a relatively new estate, the council are yet to mark the roads, and I'm not sure it's even within their plans to do so, but it's VERY necessary, and should be done promptly.

Thanks in advance.

Not a problem at all - I want to congratulate and thank you for the little triangle of garden at the shops - the plants are looking really mature now, the grass is lush and the fence is painted - much appreciated!!

Rubbish in alley, 8th June

The alley at the rear of Harborough Avenue is constantly being filled with rubbish / garden waste / fridges and the like. Residents of Harborough Avenue and Days Lane who have access to this alley should be made aware of what I would consider Fly tipping on a small scale. I have arguments in the past with people I have caught doing this and am getting rather fed up with the state of the alley.
I would like help to get this problem resolved. Thank you.

Terrible state of the road, 24th May

The current state of the bottom half of Dale road is now in drastic need of resurfacing. At the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Dale road, there is a pot hole that is growing on a daily basis and could soon be the cause of an accident. The rest of the road surface from the intersection of Ridge avenue and Dale road to the intersection of Dale road and Ridge Way is extremely uneven with the actually road surface caving in in places. If the road is not fixed soon, it will lead to more and more pot holes forming, costing the council even more to fix.

Historic Dropped Footings, 7th May

I have been issued with 3 PCNs for parking outside my Flats across historic dropped footings even though the Adjudicator has found in my favour that the notices should not have been issued. They should be removed as they lead nowhere.

Overloaded dog poop bin, 3rd November

There is a dog poop bin provided for owners to throw away their pets mess. What a great idea, except the bin has not been emptied for about three weeks and there is an overload of poop filled bags. Not a pretty site for my children on their way to school every day. Hopefully this problem can be rectified soon and perhaps be kept on a "emptying round". Thanks in advance.

Overgrown trees on the pavement, 4th August

I think the address is [edited for privacy - details sent to council]. The house is on the corner of Halcot Avenue and Grazeley Close. This house has lailandii style trees that go along the side of the house and the pavement leading into Grazeley Close for about 15 yards. They are so overgrown that you have to walk in the road to get into the close. These trees have been getting bigger and wider over the past few years and the residensts/owners never cut them back. As they obviously don't use the pathway into Grazeley Close they have no idea how infuriating they are especially when you have young children to keep safely on the pavement but are unable to. I hope you can help. Thanks in advance...
