Bin Men

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 13:15, Tue 2 March 2010
Sent to Sandwell Borough Council 5 minutes later

Every Tuesday the street is covered in food, nappies and this morning my children were greeted by a pavement of sanitary towels.

A recent street clean was pointless!

Sandwell council couldn't care less about the state that THEIR bin men leave our streets in!!

Nothing off the council other than an email saying they'd look into it!

my partner made a complaint last year after which a letter was sent to him explaining that the streets were cleaned every wednesday....... we saw them once or twice since. i am constantly having to dodge nappies and food and it stinks, the street should be cleaned every tues after the collection.

This will only get worse with the strikes ! I say sack the lazy gits and give the jobs to people who want to work ! They have not lost money as they are contracted too - its the fact that overtimes cut and they have to work to their normal contracted hours, welcome to the real world bin men as i have had my extended hours and overtime cut too over last 2 yrs losing around £8k a year. Thats life so deal with it and as for the council , lets have the agency guys in as they do a better job.
