Death trap - Sealand Rd

Many deaths on this road over the years...it's dark, often muddy due to the farm machinery moving around the fields, very fast - from national speed limit with a big jump to much lower speed just AFTER the speed camera at the entrance to Blacon. It's a nightmare junction to turn right out of too. Shouldnt the limit be lowered altogether, particularly before that junction? Safety study please - other roads are much wider with lighting at 50 mph. Help save lives - review this road.

Appalling that nothing has been done about this already. More lighting is needed and maybe lower the speed limit?

Following recent fatal accidents at Sealand Road, the area has been assessed. It was found slight wear & tear to white line & this has been renewed. An assessment of the speed limits on A and B roads will shortly be carried out. Also extention of the street lighting has been considered but at present there is no allocated budget for this type of work. For further discussion please contact the Traffic Section at County Hall on 01352 704634
