Whitfield St

Sent to Leeds City Council 3 minutes later

Whitfield Street is a turning off Roundhay Road which slopes down very steeply to Bank Side Street.

Several neighbours have very nearly been hit by cars skidding down it in icy weather, as there is nothing to stop cars going straight into the opposite pavement.

The garden gates of 74 Bankside Street were damaged last year when a car crashed into them after sliding down Whitfield Street.

It was very dangerous in the recent snow, it's never gritted, and there are at least three wheelchair users on Bankside Street who regularly need to use both Whitfield Street and the Bank Side Street pavement opposite it.

I didn't really expect this to be fixed very quickly as it may need redesign of the road layout etc, but I just wanted to make the council aware of it.

However no reply received yet even to acknowledge this problem has been reported.
