Disgusting Mess

Reported anonymously at 23:33, Mon 22 February 2010; the map was not used so pin location may be inaccurate
Sent to Barnsley Borough Council 2 minutes later

No's 39, 41 and 43 Brunswick Street, Thurnscoe, Rotherham, S63 0HU

These properties are a disgusting, rat infested eyesore. Rats are clearly seen day and night leaving these properties. No39 Brunswick Street must have at least 20 dogs residing at the address (No Joke). The place and the street stink of dog mess obviously and the noise from these animals is ridiculous. There are obviously public health issues here that the local authority (Barnsley MBC) needs to address with or without the owners of these properties consenting to the required work.

It has been two weeks now since these problems were reported! No action from the Local Authority, no update, no visit to the properties in question, nothing. Considering that this has been reported as being a potential danger to public health! A pretty shabby performance from Barnsley MBC, makes a change eh!!!

Still no action from Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council on this.

Problem worse than ever. The Council (Barnsley) have taken no action whatsoever. I have emailed them for an update, however they have failed to reply. I am aware that these problems have been reported before by other local residents. To the best of my knowledge this is the first time it has been reported on fix my street. I supppose it was worth a try but if the Council choose not to act or even to come and inspect the problem, what can we do? Any suggestions fellow council tax payers?
