Vehicles parking on the grass verge

Reported in the Parking queries/reports category anonymously at 20:43, Sat 20 February 2010
Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council 1 minute later

The location is in Lustrells Vale, opposite the shops and in front of the care home. The grass verge is being dug out by mainly lorries parking on it so that the drivers can call at the shops. It is unsightly let alone dangerous to pedestrians who may cross the road there, My suggestion would be for bollards or the like to be stategically spaced to prevent such parking.

Problem still exists. My only hope that should some person be unfortunate to trip over this hazard (Depth of ruts made by the tyres is over an inch in places) and injure themselves they become aware of this notification and take the appropriate civil action. Then this council will be less dismissive of such problems.

The problem still exists. Not even an acknowledgement over it. I have given up any expectations I might have had with this council

The photograph indicates the problem. The van in view was parked on the actual kerb - others, including council heavy vehicles have over the time caused the damage that can be viewed.
