Marlow Rail Station

One arriving in Marlow could be forgiven to questioning where on earth they really are and if the sign is in fact incorrect when alighting or departing from Marlow Station (rail platform). If appearances are to be kept up, there's no better place that's crying out for presentation than the condition of this rail platform.
Litter lies strewn about the platform end and the shelter has become a refuge where one would prefer not to enter no matter how hard it's raining outdoors.
Dirty, filthy and grotty are ways much more accurate to define this otherwise picturesque and cultured town. Less can be said of its most public mode of transport.
Cigarette buts, gum, twisted beer cans, broken bottles, empty crisp packets and bright orange Sainsbury's carrier bags and sanitary towels dishonour the environment of this rail platform on a daily basis.
Overgrown and untrimmed brambles and ill cared for tree lines make the station approach one of the more unsightly and disappointing let-down's in Marlow.
It's sad to see this very essential area neglected as it clearly is and has been. The condition of this Station and it's surrounding area doesn't say anything positive or encouraging for commuters and people arriving to use the platform or for those present to drop-off and pick-up passengers.
