Removal of Cyclepath Barrier

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Mark Roydhouse at 13:48, Wed 17 February 2010
Sent to Camden Borough Council 2 minutes later

3-4 months ago the barriers/fences were removed that separated the cycle path from the footpath on the central island of the junction. This has cause pedestrians to be constantly on the cycle path and they seem to now use it as the footpath now. This is an inconvenience for cyclists and a danger for pedestrians. Also this there is an added danger for pedestrians as the cycle path route leads on to the north bound carriageway of the A41 away from the designated crossing point of the Northbound A41. Can some one explain to be the reasoning behind the removal of the barriers.
