Car parking

Many cars are parked on the pavements so that people with children and prams have to walk on the street. This is dangerous.

so would you rather the whole street double parked so cars couldn't actually get up and down the street?? there is an unspoken and well adhered to agreement that one side parks on the road and the other side parks slightly on the pavement (so ambulances/fire engines other cars can pass) so if you could manage to cross the road you will find no obstruction!!!

I would rather drivers parked their cars in their drives, which almost all the houses have. A few of us do. Many of the cars aren't parked 'slightly' on the pavement but right across it so that pedestrians, especially those with prams and in wheelchairs, are forced onto the road. Cars are parked on both sides of the road.

No you are wrong they only park on the pavement on the left hand side ( if you are walking down the 'hill' so like I said cross onto to the other side ( where the odd number houses are and you will have no problems) if you are determined to make an issue about this then go ahead but you will find that your bins will not be emptied as the wagons won't be able to get up the street - as happens when someone who 'isn't in the know' double parks. And god forbid anyone should need an ambulance or a fire engine because it won't get up the street. People don't park on the the pavement because they are idiots it's so that other vehicles can pass safely. And yes most people on the street have more than one car and the available drives are used. I'll say it again cross the road.
