Ginnel between St Martin's Avenue and Potternewton Lane

This ginnel hasn't been properly cleaned in years. It's in a dangerous condition for the health those who use it - who are mostly children and those without a car - i.e. the elderly. The surface is also breaking up, it needs a good clean before it can be resurfaced though.

The ginnel has been cleaned as far as can be seen from St Martin's Avenue. That's all.

The ginnel was cleaned after I threatened the highways department with a litter abatement order - details here: http://www.litteraction.org.uk/infocentre/the-lawhere

The ginnel is certainly better than it was but it hasn't been properly cleaned. There is quite a lot of broken glass next to the substation; all along from (and before) there is leaf litter from years ago. There are a lot of broken stones too. The obvious litter of cans, cartons etc., has been cleared, which is good, it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned though - 'bottomed' as we used to say. Next time I walk along the ginnel I'll take a camera.

Some of the ginnel is better, cleared of litter but nothing done about the surface. From the off-shoot to Riviera Gardens it's no better either in litter or surface.
