Speeding vehicles in Goddington lane

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:08, Thu 4 February 2010
Sent to Bromley Borough Council 2 minutes later

Since Bromley Council stated that they had made changes to traffic in Goddington Lane designed to reduce speeding, traffic speeds have increased and controls have reduced through the removal of all white lines and traffic signs. The ramps at top and bottom of the lane cause greater danger to vehicles entering and leaving the lane. ALL residents are complaining and none believe Bromley's claim that "the majority" were in favour of these changes. What an ineffective waste of public money!

Bromley Council justify their works but I understand (privately) that the ramparts at the top and bottom of the lane are to be removed and replaced as they do not comply with the original design plans! How much more money to be wasted.....

Altho a 20mph speed limit has been introduced, many drivers ignore it and it is not enforced, The council have removed all safety signs in the Lane.
