Closure of slip road

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:38, Wed 3 February 2010
Sent to Bedford Borough Council 2 minutes later

Since the bypass was introduced and more so recently very large HGV's have been parking in the slip road on a daily basis. I believe the road is now subject to a weight restriction and this is not clear from the current signage. The closure of this slip road was being strongly considered up until discussions of weight restrictions. Could this please be reassessed to prevent lorries stopping in the village for the evening and to prevent the invasion of residents privacy. The obvious solution would be a local traffic restriction, the same as in place in Renhold.
