Dog fouling extreeme!

Sent to Bournemouth Borough Council 5 minutes later

Palmerston Road and the adjacent streets (Borthwick Road in particular) appear to be the hot-spot for copious amounts of dog fouling. What's interesting is that this is a re-occurant problem that appears not to current be addressed as of yet. Dog mess is common particularly along Palmerston road, which is a busy street with a high volume of pedestrian traffic leading towards Boscombe town centre. It is also important to highlight that there are a high number of children and young people who frequent this area due to local schools. Please could this unpleasant and health risk be tackled and strict enforcement for re-offenders?

This problem is not isolated to these two roads. The streets of Boscombe (and most of Bournemouth) are paved with dog mess. It's disgusting and seriously annoying. I usually step in it at least 3 times a week - usually when I'm picking up my own dog's mess. I've got to the point where I wonder why I bother because no one else does!!

Hi All, Yes it would be good to have some sort of action taken. I have written to the council dog warden team a couple of times over the last 2 years, and they said they "would put it on their monitoring list". I have never seen a dog warden around this area (and I work here) so am starting to question this. I think issues such as this need to be tackled, because they all lead to anti social behaviour, which we all know can be prevalent in this area of Bournemouth. But what can we do if the council arn't taking any suggestions with serious consideration. I made a suggestion about perhaps some modern warning signs, and putting bins (with bags) in obvious places to make it easier for people to clean up their dogs mess - but they were just dismissed. I thought they were realistic and practical suggestions, but they were just ignored - I even offered to help work with them and see how we could tackle this problem, but haven't had any joy yet! Oh well, we shall continue!
