Anti skid surface

The anti skid road surface is almost completely worn away and therefore would not be effective in preventing a skid.

When I spoke with Amey last year I was informed there was a good chance this surface would be repaired before the schools returned in September '09. Is there any way that this anti skid surface could be repaired please?

From contacting highways I have been informed that due to this now being a C class road, it will not be repaired. It is less than 100 metres from a heavy goods vehicle plant and people still use it as as a cut through to travel at speed. The predestrian lights at this site is where children often play chicken. Not a highways issue, though with the anti skid surface being ineffective, there is the makings of a serious accident. If there is no movement on this subject, I would ask that you consider the removal of the predrestian light as it is rarely utilised, it is on the way out of village and resolves the issue with the anti skid surface as well.
