McDonalds Litter

There is a huge amount of litter on the open space, the overwhelming majority of which is McDonalds related. I'm fed up with picking it up. Is there something that can be done to make McDonalds responsible for their customers' littering behaviour?

I've had some contact from the Council who ordered a litter pick and have asked me to keep an eye on things. In fairness, it seems a bit better of late.
