Dangerous Driving

Got an email from the council,below. Have replied asking that they consider some traffic calming measures.

I refer to your email concerning traffic misuse of Onslow Gardens

The main problem of joyriding is a matter for police enforcement as we have jurisdiction to intervene. I know that the police view this very seriously and I suggest that in the first instance you Croydon Police Station and report your observations to them

Email from Council (not so helpfull, didnt ask them to close the road)

We have no proposal to consider closing Onslow Gardens to through traffic and I regret that I cannot help further in this respect.

I saw vehicle registered F150xl( since been informed by police this is a false registration number!) do a handbrake turn at Tjunction of onslow gardens & cranleigh gardens last Saturday 23rd Jan at 4.15pm. Reported this to police. The vehicle parks on the driv at 29 Sanderstead Court Ave. Is he a resident???? Almost defies belief he would be stupid enough to do this on own doorstep! As is that wasn't stupid enough he was dumb enough to do it again on Saturday 30th. Both times been reported to police. Got photos of damage done to road and been handed over to police

Obviously there is a speeding problem in Onslow Gardens - Sanderstead Court Road as there are 2 speed check signs - usually kept to main roads. I personally have witnessed cars speeding along this road, over 50mph on the speed check signs. This is just not joy riders, etc Mums in cars with their children, people going to the church and at all times of the day.I personally have been overtaken and undertaken by other drivers whilst driving on Onslow gardens. I agree with the earlier posting, some sort of traffic calming measures are required for this road.
