Hi Elaine,

That section of road is in my ward, but is managed by TfL rather than Lambeth.

My Lib Dem colleague - London Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon - is Chair of the transport Committee at the GLA, so I'll ask her to pick this up with TfL and I'll keep you posted.

Hope you enjoyed the Burns Night on Friday !

Thanks,

Cllr Steve Bradley, Liberal Democrat Action Team - Vassall Ward

Because Clapham Road, where the road defect is located is a Red Route, the road's maintenance is now managed by Transport for London rather than Lambeth. I have therefore reported the pothole to Transport For London, letting them know all the details you included in your email.

Please contact them on 0845 305 1234 if you have any further queries.

Hi Elaine,

I have this afternoon received a response from my colleague Caroline Pidgeon to confirm that TfL are arranging for the area to be inspected and repaired.

Whether it is a pothole or a dip that is behind the pooling, it will still need inspecting to determine the cause and appropriate repair.

I hope they have either inspecte dit today (Thursday) or tomorrow, as with the dreadful weather they'll see the problem in all its glory.

I'll continue to keep you posted as I receive information, but unfortunately TfL is not as beholden to councllors as Lambeth is.

Best Regards,

Cllr Steve Bradley, Liberal Democrat Action Team - Vassall Ward

To get action on TfL roads you are best off going to http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/reportastreetfault/934.aspx

Inform Lambeth and Southwark GLA member Valerie Shawcross if they still havent been fixed - as the constituency member for the area she has more sway
