Line Markings Disappeared - Dangerous!

Sent to Hackney Borough Council 3 minutes later
The line markings for the cycle zone on Greenwood Road - which is one-way to vehicles, but two-way to cycles - has all but disappeared. Twice just in this week, I have experienced abusive and aggressive drivers shouting and gesturing me, driving dangerously close past me (and one stopped and got out of his car to challenge me) whilst I am legitimately cycling up this street, I guess, because they can't see the cycle line markings. This is dangerous! I last reported this on 27 November 2009 (2 months ago) and have received no response from Hackney. I would really appreciate a response! Thanks!

Updates
Hackney did eventually write back an email advising that due to the narrowness of Greenwood Road and increased amount of on-street parking, the cycle path couldn't be replaced (?); the best that could be done was to apply to Highways for more street signage warning motorists of counter-flow cyclists (= more street clutter) and this could be done before the end of the financial year. Not particularly clear or helpful; not convinced that amount of on-street parking has increased since white cycle lines were last painted.
