Even though this has been reported multiple times before, via Fixmystreet & via the council I got a BT site to report it - this has resulted in BT agreeing to remove the boxes by approx 26th feb (BT Log reference SD20738909)

The Housing of the phone boxes has yet to be removed but I am actively pursuing BT about this. It is definitely on BT's 'to do' list
