Gravel/chippings on road

Lots of small loose gravel/chippings on the surface of Beeston Road at junction with Blantern Road. Being thrown up by wheels of traffic and causing damage to vehicle paintwork. Could a roadsweeping truck be sent to give the road a once-over?

The wind and rain cleared the gravel away before the council managed to send their crack squad of cleansing operatives!!
