This is a very dangerous road in ice/snow.
The sun during the day does not melt the ice, and therefore you are unable to stop.
This morning, I followed 3 other cars onto the main Dual Carriage-way (Leicester Road) all of us experienced our wheels locking and we skidded out directly into the Dual Carriage-way.
It is a pure miracle that nothing was coming on any of the occasions, as they would have been unable to stop (as practically every car coming up the hill exceeds the mandatory speed limit) and this is a guarantee'd accident site.
