Treacherous conditions

Can we please have a grit bin at the top of Broad Gates? The road is SO dangerous when it has snowed and then freezes, or even just when it is icy. The corner of Broad Gates and North Field becomes like an ice rink as does further down nearing Adkin Royd. Just recently I have seen several cars slide down to the bottom of Broad Gates, been unable to stop because of the ice and so kept going straight across towards the old people's bunglows opposite, only stopping because of the curb. Thank goodness no other cars or people were coming otherwise there would have been an accident. Something needs to be done soon before a serious accident does occur. Residents are more than happy to grit the road themselves but we do need a grit bin and grit providing please ASAP. Many thanks.

Updates
But... I did get a reply from the council ref this and they promised our street would be included in a review on grit box requests which would be based on a number of criteria - next day I saw someone outside looking like they were completing assessment form, so fingers crossed, we'll get an update soon.
