Potholes by Roadworks (Ralph Allen Drive)

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 12:48, Sat 2 January 2010
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 weeks, 2 days, 4 hours, 47 minutes later

In the section of Ralph Allen Drive that's under temporary traffic lights for the wall repairs (the traffic lights that arrived for no apparent reason ages before the wall repairs started - but that's another rant!) there are loads of potholes. Due to the wall repairs one lane of the road is closed and thus cars cannot swerve into the other lane to avoid the potholes. These aren’t the average inch deep potholes that Bath residents have come to expect on every road, these are bigger and easily deep enough to dent an alloy wheel / break suspension components.

There's currently (21/02/2010) loads of Potholes in this section of Ralph Allen Drive - so many it's impossible to avoid them all.

Again, these aren't little dents in the road but proper deep ones that will damage wheels/suspension components.

BBC Points West did an article on potholes last week and interviewed Wags of Combe Down Garage who said "We've done five cars with pothole damage already today"...

The stretch or road next to the wall repair works has now been resurfaced... All we need now is for the rest of Ralph Allen Drive to be resurfaced!
