Inappropriate bin

Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 09:57, Wed 30 December 2009
Sent to Croydon Borough Council 3 minutes later

The recycling bin provided for use by 8 flats is not sufficient. It is also not appropriate because it has a narrow slit on top. This makes it extremely difficult to put boxes or sheaves of paper in. It is impossible to put in bottles. This causes people to dump their recyclable stuff beside the bin and therefore litter the place. As it is always wet, there are soggy pieces of paper around there making it an eyesore. Could more, and appropriate bins be provided?

I went to take my recyclables out today and still no change!! With the rain it makes it very messy when things are left out.
