Compacted ice

Sent to Lancashire County Council and Lancaster City Council 3 minutes later

Since last monday, there has been no effort to clear snow which has since been compacted into sheet ice. the location has steep hills in either direction, and can become impassable. i personally have had to take 2 days off work this week due to the appalling, no lethal, conditions. today christmas day i had to walk the roads to find a safe entry -egress route for visitors.i subsequently fell this morning at approx 10am and was very winded, and now still in pain. next month gas work will be carried out, and routing will be by country road, can we expect the same situation, as access to a6 will be even more limited.

No fix was ever done, some local residents ganged together to fix some of the problems via getting grit down, which was bought from own pockets. Grit bins to my knowledge are still empty. Regarding the Gas work, yes it has now begun, and is scheduled for 12 weeks. Undoubtedly if we have bad weather yet again we will be in the same situation.
