Sent to Chorley Borough Council and Lancashire County Council 1 minute later

A dog in one of the back gardens of Thirlmere Close barks everyday. Starting around 08:30 it almost constantly for about five hours and often sounds in distress.

This is still happening. The dog barks every morning in the garden between 11 and 17 Thirlmere Close.

I appear to be the third person to be sick of listening to this dog bark everyday. I will also be writing to the council.

I would just like to point out that until receiving the letter, I was not aware that there was a problem, nobody had taken the time or the trouble to let me know, my immediate neighbours advised that there is barking as you would expect from a dog, but nothing that would cause an issue. However I have ordered another anti-barking collar a little different that the previous 1 I had some hopefully when it arrrives it should help. I care very much for my pet & due to certain life changes it is left on its own which I hate doing, but unfortunatly have no choice.

I would like to apologise for my dog barking, the original complaint was followed up, a council member came to visit & it was seen that the dog was not distressed, & was left with an adequate supply of food water & shelter. Working various shifts the animal is left alone for long periods but does not bark constantly, I have been informed by immediate neighbours that this last for no longer that 30 mins, usually when I have left for work, also sometimes during the day when the postman or other people are in the vicinity. I did purchase an anti barking coller which i'me assuming worked for a while, however as this is causing a problem again I will purchase another one. If anybody cares to come & talk to me personally I would be more than happy to discuss the problem. Thank You
