Illegal car stopping and parking

Every weekday morning, school mums and dads park and stop their vehicles illegally according to road markings, along the top of The Furlongs, right along and outside the Junior school. This congests the area and does not allow traffic to flow. Nearby parking and stopping can be made at the Pemberton Road roundabout or at an adjacent side road, but it appears inconsiderate, lazy parents, often the same repeat offenders, just ignore the markings. A strategically placed police officer would surely help dissuade this behaviour and make life a little easier for the rest of residents and road users at this time of the morning school run.
