Severe flooding now gone, but numerous small flooded areas remain in the roadway due to inadequate drainage, which freeze causing a safety hazard.

No, problem has worsened. Ditches have overflowed in many parts of the lane and turned to sheet ice during the cold weather. Floods also conceal serious potholes with risk of damage to wheels and tyres.

This is the second follow-up questionnaire, and to date (1st March, 3 months on) nothing has happened. Over the past 48 hours the flooding has been worse than in December. I have also emailed the West Sussex Highways Agency but have not yet had a response from them

At the instigation of my local councillor, the county council wrote to the Church Commissioners asking for action. 3 months later there is no sign of action.

The cause of the flooding was the fact that the drainage ditches have not been cleared. To date (7 months on) the ditches have not been cleared and are still choked.

Still no action to clear ditches in lane

Cpuncil has cleared culverts beneath roadway but ditches along lane have still not been cleared by farmer. There has been sever flooding again due to recent severe weather such that we were unable to leave Colworth.
