Poorly designed pedestrian crossing

The pedestrian crossing lights at the Buxton Road/Nangreave Road crossing frequently miss the "green man" sequence - i.e. you press the button and it is illuminated, however, it often "switches" itself off before allowing pedestrians to cross- this results in pedestrians trying to cross the roads without using the crossing.

There should also be a pedestrian crossing on the south side of this junction across the A6 as there are a large number of pedestrians coming from the college who then go along Hallam street - with the current design this requires pedestrians to cross 3 roads (Nangrave, Buxton and Hallam) instead of 1.
