Boat Blocking Access To Public Toilets

Reported in the Public toilets category by An Mousehole at 10:31, Sat 7 November 2009
Sent to Cornwall Council 3 minutes later

A yacht has been positioned extremely inconsiderately in Mousehole South Car Park, completely blocking any access to the set of public toilets operated by Cornwall Council. This has not happened in previous years but the Harbour Master (or his assistant) refused to listen to any argument about the issue. CC should contact the boat owner and Harbour Master quickly to seek its removal.

Well the boat's been there the whole winter. I saw a County Council official measuring up the access with a tape measure a few days after the comment was posted on fixmystreet but no follow-up action seems to have been taken. The loos were only opened up for a few days around New Year and things were quieter than other years. The access to the toilets was obstructed - there is no doubt about that. I hope the inconsiderate individuals who chose to site it there have the sense to make other arrangements next year. iexpect the boat to be moved by easter when it goes back into the water. photo to follow

The boat has finally been removed by the owner and access is restored.
