Dangerous 'drainage' on ramp/stairs access to Portlethen from Hillside

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 20:46, Sat 31 October 2009
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council 3 minutes later

Once again the surface water from the building site at the bottom of Schoolhill Road is creating a very dangerous surface for pedestrians, cyclists etc who have to use this route to access Portlethen. This has been reported a number of times before, but any attempt to fix it has obviously failed to fix the problem. As we once again enter the winter period, when this stream of water freezes it will create a very dangerous slip hazard and almost certainly result in a serious accident for someone. This needs tackled urgently before someone is hurt

This is an ongoing & serious problem that no-one has addressed with any conviction. One french drain installed months ago hasn't worked - so what now? The problem has increased since this latest report & will only get worse as winter arrives. Please fix this before someone is hurt here...either that or check your insurance is adequate !

Still an issue - even when dry...chronically dangerous when wet! Council will blame developer...nobody will bother fixing & likely someone will end up hurt - court costs & damages will be more than the cheap repair that is required.

Nobody seems interested in fixing this hazardous situation - is it is responsibility of the builder or the council - who knows?
