The council informed me that sections of the road have been actually marked for repair and "repair orders" have been placed to remedy some of the problems and the officer stated he will have another look at this section ! No dates/timescale have been suggested.

No further update or contact from the Council, even after enquiring where to go next. A neighbour had a reply from a local councillor on the 4-2-10 stating "....will let the highways repair team know of the concerns..."

No updates. Perhaps we have fallen out of the top ten or maybe the top ten has not started yet!

The new Street scene officer came out on the 14/6 to discuss the issue, he phoned the next day to say the 'repair tickets' were in place but could not advise on a date for the work.Four of us met the local councillor on 22/6 and he said he would look into the matter and that he would get the road surveyed. We wait in anticipation to see what the outcome will be !

A 50m (estimated) section, approximately mid way has been resurfaced, but the repair tickets I have mentioned previously are for 2 lower sections, so we still wait in anticipation !

A section about 100m long has been resurfaced at the start (lower end) of Mead Way by the bus stops which is something. Will the rest get done to eliminate buses and heavy lorries vibrating the houses is another question. Still no feedback on surveyors report.

Update from councillor,"Yes, there was a survey done as you and your neighbours requested. I understand the results were not conclusive. I have since then been asking for the details but no reply.!!

As I have just learnt that the complete length of Mead Way is on the list for 'carriageway resurfacing' during this new financial year, I have now make a serious request that the road by your houses is looked at again before this work is started.

I will keep the pressure on for a response and of course keep you informed."

Nothing to add at the present.

Last week some 'localised' resurfacing took place to eliminate some of the deeper ruts so at least the bus does not shake the house anymore, but other areas of the road still need attention and those ruts will only get worse as the buses bounce in them as I do not believe the road was built to carry those loads ? If the entire length of Mead Way had been resurfaced (while they had all the equipment here) then the issue would have been resolved, it appears they are firefighting at the moment. It seems to have taken forever to get this far, but at least an improvement in the right direction.
