Re-occuring Flooding On New Link Road

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:04, Thu 22 October 2009
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council 1 minute later

Following the construction works at Leathan Fields, Hillside, Portlethen - water now pools in the fields cut by the new road - this then overpours onto the carriageway creating a dangerous situation for all the road users. It's not going to fix itself. Either the Roads Dept or SMH need to take ownership of this problem & deal with it before there is an accident because of this. (Marked on the mark, the best it can, but they are out of date)

No - just like most of the other problems reported. There will presumably be an excuse for why these have not been actioned?

Needs looked at urgency - this will be lethal if it freezes !

Water does subside, when there is no prolonged period of rain - only to return again when there is heavy rain. Presumably the field drains have been cut & not reinstated as they should have been.

Just ignored - but records kept like all the others - available to anyone who has the misfortune to come a cropper here

Are you kidding...more rain today = more flooding...it's an easy fix, but will require some time & investment, which nobody seems to have???

Council say it's not their problem & SMH don't believe there is a problem. Hopefully someone comes to their senses soon, before there is an accident
