Dangerous mix of vehicles/pedstrians

The cobbled promenade between the Pier and the Old Quay is much used by pedestrians -- who often, especially in the summer but also on many weekends in winter -- have to dodge cars, vans and (most commonly of all) motorbikes. While this can be an attractive spectacle, the uncontrolled massing of up to 150 bikes (I've counted) with people of all ages and abilities (old people, children, etc) is surely dangerous, especially in an environment where people are often in holiday mode and are not fully alert to unexpected threats. This practice should ne managed before there is a serious accident. I have myself experienced a motorbike jostle the pushchair I was wheeling in this area.I really have nothing against bikes, just that this needs managing properly.
