We have arranged the works for Sunday due to the location of the cover and the possible diversion route if the situation is worse then expected under the surface. I sent an email to all the utilities to make them aware of this and aware of the urgency involved, this came back as quite successful as they responded with proof of the cover not being theirs. I have now got the Sunday works agreed with Thames Water Utilities. The issue here was to ensure that the cost of repairing the cover along with the traffic management that would be required to carry out any works; was not put to the tax payer. However if the works fail to be carried out on Sunday; they will be carried out on Monday evening by our contractors and the full cost of the works and traffic management will be recharged to Thames Water. Once again I apologise for the time this has taken, and all the inconvenience caused.

The issue was not dealt with at all.
Sub contractors by Thames water have just replaced a thin layer of tarmac surrounding the frame
The damage to the road and noise pollution will continue as it is caused by the manhole moving on its base.
Its now 2011 and no one has done a thing to fix this!

Thames Water are aware of the issue and are planning to carry out the works. As it stands at the moment the cover is not dnagerous although it is noisy, I have advised before but if you are unhappy with this decision please contact Thames Water Utilities on 0845 9200 800. Once again we apologise for the inconvenience.

Ok Called Thames water
Thames Water did not want to know or care how loud the noise this thing makes but thanks for the advice.
Problem still persists.
Due to the HGVS thundering through on delivery nights over un-even surfaces like the manhole and the large cracks in the road. There is alot of movement and shaking of the properties on merton high street. Damage is being caused to property. Fact.
