Brightness of new street lights

Positioning of new strret lights opposite my house mean the house is lit up at night, unfortunately I had fitted cream curtains before the lights were fitted and closing them does not make much difference, I did not think there was anything that could done about this but it seems the problems has been solved for another resident so if there is a deflector that can be fitted please could this be done as this is a narrow residential street. Overall the lights are an improvement and I probably was lucky not to have one so close when we had the orange glow.
